Bringing Light and Hope: RRF's Expansion of Orphan Care Centers + Solar Panels
The Riyo Raac Foundation (RRF) is proud to announce its plans to expand orphan care centers in SomaliLand, with the goal of providing better care and support for children who have lost their parents. As part of this effort, RRF is launching a fundraising campaign to raise $50,000 this Ramadan, which will go towards financing these projects and installing solar panel systems in the orphan centers.
Recent Study: Orphans in SomaliLand
According to a recent study, there are over 3.5 million orphans in Somalia, and the majority of them lack basic necessities such as food, shelter, and education. The study also found that orphans in Somalia are at a higher risk of exploitation, abuse, and neglect. RRF is committed to addressing these issues and improving the lives of orphans in Somalia through its various programs.
The expansion of orphan care centers is one of RRF's most important initiatives, as it will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who have lost their parents. With additional resources and support, these centers will be able to offer a wider range of services, such as education, health care, and vocational training, to help prepare orphans for a brighter future.
In addition to expanding orphan care centers, RRF is also planning to install solar panel systems in these centers. This will help to reduce electricity costs, ensure a reliable source of power, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Somalia. With access to reliable electricity, orphan care centers will be able to provide better care and support for children, and offer a brighter future for SomaliLand's most vulnerable.
